The Everyday Sniper Episode 181 Adam Cloaninger Interview One 1/2 of the 2019 SHC Winning Team
Welcome to the Everyday Sniper, in this episode I sit down and talk with Adam Cloaninger, precision rifle shooter, and one half of the winning SHC Team. Adam talks about his time growing up and shooting in Washington State. Where he is today with precision rifle competitions around the area. Then we talk about his training strategies, the mental aspect of the game which Adam puts a heavy focus on. This is a very nice, free flowing interview with Adam, and I think a lot of guys around the country and the world will get a new found respect for a shooter whom they may not know his name. Adam is very straight forward, down to earth and practical in his take on precision rifle competition.
Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing and thanks for being a part of the Everyday Sniper.

The Everyday Sniper Episode 179 My Celebrity Train Wreck MOA Rant
Frank here with the Everyday Sniper and Sniper's Hide, in this pre-4th of July episode I go on a nice rant regarding the Mil vs MOA debate. Seems like this thing won't go away anytime soon as guys continue to stir this punch bowl. The debate is silly, there is defined disciplines that work with MOA, in our game it's Mils all the way. It's easier, it's efficient and it makes communicating that much better. If you are an MOA shooter I feel sad for you, it's a terrible life to live in today's world. So if you dig MOA adjusted scopes, let me know what a jerk I am. I follow up with a few other tirades, but nothing too crazy. Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, thanks for being a part of the Everyday Sniper Podcast. Cheers,

The Everyday Sniper Episode 178 Joel Wise Interview Precision Rifle Network
We just finished our June MHSA Precision Rifle class and Joel Wise of the Precision Rifle Network was a student in the class. So being a media guy in the gun industry I thought we would do a podcast about the Class.
Joel is the main video guy for the Precision Rifle Series, and does a lot of content and filming for Shannon Kay and the PRS. He has a great perspective on the industry seeing it from many angles. The conversation mainly focuses on our class and Joel's experience during the class but we also go off on a few tangents as I am one to do.We got interrupted twice with scam phones calls as I never remember to put my phone in AirPlane Mode when I am recording podcasts from the phone. But aside from the two small interruptions I think this a great interview.
Thanks to Joel for Attending the MHSA Precision Rifle Class, and being a part of the Everyday Sniper Podcast. Thanks to all the listeners and those who share and comment in the Podbean App. Really appreciate ya all

The Everyday Sniper Episode 177 Phil Velayo SHC After Action
Great Episode here with top shooter, USMC Scout Sniper Instructor and Precision Rifle Instructor Phil Velayo on the line. Phil came in second place at the Sniper's Hide Cup with his partner Beau, so his perspective is super important to all.
We breakdown some of the stages and well as the main elements to executing a great match finish. Getting Phil's perspective all all this adds some much to the Everyday Sniper Podcast. He gets it on a level most don't consider.
We cover a wide range of topics from Wind to Trajectory and including the Fundamentals of Marksmanship. This should sound familiar. If you want to meet Phil, he is the lead instructor for Gunwerks, and he attends a ton of NRL and PRS matches out West here.
Thanks to all for listening, thanks for sharing and be sure to comment.I also want to thank Phil again for taking time out during a busy week of training.

The Everyday Sniper Episode 176 Sniper's Hide Cup AAR
Back from the Sniper's Hide Cup, and wanted to do an after action from my perspective of the competition. I was a range officer, slash scorekeeper on stage 1 on the A side of the match. My stage was 3 targets at 680, 650, and 680, really interesting to see the mix of shooter and how they attacked the problem.
Other important areas of discussion were,
Safety, because it is always about safety.
Efficiency, how to manage a stage under time
Movement, another part of efficiency
It was great visiting with so many of the competitors, congrats to Nick and Adam, as well as Phil and Beau, Serge and Jorge, with Piper Corson winning top individual.
Thanks for listening and sharing, and being part of the everyday sniper

The Everyday Sniper Episode 175 Talking Ammo, Merino Wool, Sniper's Hide Competitions, and So much More
Welcome to the Everyday Sniper, this is my pre-travel Sniper's Hide Cup episode where I have nothing to say about the match, except that I have nothing to say. The Rifleman's Team Challenge crew along with Carl Taylor and Clint Sharp are doing all the heavy lifting because I have been so out of pocket its crazy. We talk factory ammo. I just shot the new Made in US Prime Ammo load and I want to go on about that as much as I can. I also shot the factory loads being used to test the APO Sniper's Hide Edition Rifles. Great stuff there.
We talk Merino wool from Varusteleka.com, I really dig the Merino wool Hoodie and Jacket they sent along. Plus the added bonus of Scho-Ka-Kola candy from WWII.
As always when I can, I answer Listener comments from he Podbean App. So if you comment in the App, I read them and respond. Thanks for listening, thanks for Sharing and Thanks for being a part of the Everyday Sniper

The Everyday Sniper Episode 174 My Rant on LE Equipment
Back from Alaska, this is my June After Action Report. The Civvy classes we did were excellent. No equipment issues I can recall, nobody needed to default the SH Edition APO Rifle. But we also did an LE class and that is completely different story. This was not about the shooters, but their equipment that went back to the 1990s. In my mind this is totally unacceptable for guys who work the harsh wilds of Alaska. Having a working rifle and optic that is older than most computers is just wrong. The conditions in this part of the country can kill equipment in seconds. It's important to have the right tools for the job. Hopefully this can light a fire under the departments to step up.Also thanks to David for guiding me on my World's Most Successful Bigfoot Hunt.
Quals, I think quals and standards are very useful, and we need to recognize the benefit of having a very good qual system in place to test standards.

The Everyday Sniper Episode 173 AK Precision Rifle Class with James and Wyatt
Finished our first class from the second block of training here in Alaska. Had an awesome class, lots of really great shooters. We brought in two of the students, Wyatt, and James. Both students are from the Lower 48 as if I am not. But we wanted to get their perspective and talk about the class.
This class went fantastic and the students took to their lessons like a duck to water. We were able to tighten up the presentation even more and get in a lot more drills.
Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, and thanks for being a part of the everyday sniper. Don't forget to comment on the podbean app.
