Finishing up here in Alaska with our first block of Precision Rifle Classes. The results really speak for themselves. Also, I am answering a quick question on Density Altitude and Barometric pressure.

Fundamentals of Marksmanship as a foundation

The Everyday Sniper Episode 166 Alaska Precision Rifle Discussion
Frank and Marc of Alaska Precision Rifle and Wiggy's Alaska. We just finished two back to back classes and are preparing for our 3rd for this first trip to AK.
We hammer forged the fundamentals with every student. It's about the foundation we build. With a positive foundation, how can you expect to be a precision marksman?
Thanks to the Sheep Creek Lodge for hosting the class, both students and instructors stay at the lodge and they do all our meals for the class.
Weather has been great and the courses are paying the students back in the successful engagements we see. Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, and don't commenting.

The Everyday Sniper Episode 165 Always 6 O Clock in Alaska
Made it to Alaska, sitting in the Capt Cook Hotel waiting to head north and drop some knowledge on the students. In this episode, we finish up reading the comments in the Podbean App. Ballistic discussion, the why, where are we going with this, WTF. We have explained the W, the wind. We have hammered you with the Fundamentals, the F, and now we need to focus on the T, trajectory. And for many that means Apps. Ballistic Apps.
I am getting ready to revamp the training in regards to ballistic apps, and for that, I need you to understand the Why behind this stuff. So a little explanation is in order. Thanks for listening and sharing and especially thanks for commenting.

The Everyday Sniper Episode 164 User Comments Answered, Ballistic Apps
In this episode I read the user comments. We really appreciate everyone throwing comments in the Podbean App and we want to address them as they start to stack up.Each comment is visible in the App and we encourage to comment on any and all topics.Discuss BCs and ballistics apps as well having to your part. A ballistic app is not a magic bullet, the shooter still has to execute the fundamentals. It's a nice little discussion, hope you all like it before I head to Alaska for the precision rifle classes there. Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing and thanks for being a part of the Everyday Sniper Podcast

The Everyday Sniper Episode 163 MHSA Class AAR, Valkyrie Stuff, APO Rifle
In this episode give you a quick after action of the MHSA Precision Rifle class. Again we had the killer winds and the students stepped up in a big way. The instruction is designed to use the high winds to our favor and maximize the learning. And guys have been learning a great deal. I want to thank everyone who attended and Mike for all the help. Excellent class all around.
Valkyrie, I shot the custom MHSA Valkyrie bolt action rifle and was super happy with the results. Using a Bartlein Left hand gain twist barrel, the rifle is an absolutely hammer> Fritz builds a helluva stick at MHSA.
The SH Edition APO Rifle, we used it during the class. A student needed a rifle and we loaned them the APO. Big success on the concept of a training rifle that will fit the shooter. I was super happy with the results.
Thanks for listening and sharing, don't forget to comment in the Podbean App.

The Everyday Sniper Episode 162 Rifle Set up, Busted Computer, Class
In this episode I am recovering from my computer breaking this week. So I was without my main system to finish doing video work. But from there I had some great feedback from the class. So I take a deep dive into rifle set up. We go over length of pull, we talk setting up the optics. It's about understanding the principles and how they apply to you. I cannot see or feel what you feel. Its just like your car. if I get in to drive I will move the seat. So it's important you look at this and understand the why. From there we talk bipods, as a question was asked. Which bipod for which situation. It matters, so it's important to talk about it. You know air our feelings on the subject.
Again, thanks for commenting in the pod bean app. It's huge, and we appreciate it.
Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, thanks for commenting.

The Everyday Sniper Episode 159 MHSA Precision Rifle Class AAR
Just finished up the first MHSA Precision Rifle class of the season. A great mix of conditions, and awesome students. I breakdown the MHSA Class for everyone hitting the high points, talking about the wind conditions we saw this weekend. Huge mix and swing of winds, from very little too far too much. Yet we made it work and work well.
Thanks to the students, thanks to Mike for the help, and to MHSA for supporting and hosting.
