The Everyday Sniper Podcast:Time
Everything takes time, so you have to recognize there is time in the system when we shoot. We have the time it takes for the firing pin to hit the primer and then the bullet to the leave the barrel, and we have the time it takes for the bullet to hit the target. Time.
In this episode I fill in some of the blanks, gives you a quick update on what is going on in the Sniper's Hide world I am living.
Breaking down the site upgrade, the merchandising we added, the App Updates, Live-streaming all these things are being updated for 2023. I want to thank everyone for sticking around and listening.

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Jack from Quantified Performance
Semi Automatic Precision Rifle Competition, hello, Jack from Quantified Performance is on the Podcast today.
For details,
https://quantifiedperformance.com/about-us/
Quantified Performance, LLC is focused on building a community of safe, high-performing firearm owners and users. By focusing on metrics such as group size, match performance, and several other methods, the community can show skills growth and highlight shooting sports and the people that make those activities possible.
We are a small, veteran-owned company focused on competition. The idea came from hours of travel to and from various competitions around the country and our desire to improve performance. We wanted to bring a community together that offered more to competitors and sponsors than currently available.
Open Division. This division is intended to provide a competitive atmosphere for rifle systems that are purpose-built for mid-to-long range competitive events.
-Barrels in excess of 20.1 inches, as measured from the face of the closed bolt to the face of the muzzle will classify as “Open Division”. Suppressors, flash hiders, and brakes DO NOT count toward the overall barrel length.
-No limit to magazine capacity
Practical Precision Division. This division is intended to provide a competitive atmosphere for mid-to-long range rifles that are appropriate for real-world use, specifically service and department issued rifle systems (and similar).
- Barrels must be less than 20.1 inches, as measured from the face of the closed bolt to the face of the muzzle. Suppressors, flash hiders, and brakes DO NOT count toward the overall barrel length.
- Magazine capacity is limited to 20 rounds.
General Purpose Division. This division is intended to encompass practical rifles and carbines with general purpose optics that are not purpose-built for a competitive edge in mid-to-long range application. Failing to meet the constraints of the division will result in the competitor being moved to “Practical Precision” or “Open” divisions, as applicable.- Barrels must be less than 18.5 inches, as measured from the face of the closed bolt to the face of the muzzle. Suppressors, flash hiders, and brakes DO NOT count toward the overall barrel length.-Available maximum magnification of 8.5x, per verified optical performance, or manufacturer marking on optic, verified by manufacturer specification per model, whichever is higher. Variable power optics with higher than 8.5x may be used with the provision that the lowest power available is 1.5x or below. The addition of a secondary optic does not qualify as meeting the 1.5x or below criteria.-No limit to magazine capacity.-Will not exceed a caliber of .30 inches or a velocity of 2,900 ft/s.

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Expo
Precision Rifle Expo, Navasota Texas at the CCC Shooting Complex. What a great time we had this weekend at the Expo. Phil Cashin from MPA puts on a heck of an Event. Vendors, Live Fire, Classes, Shooting Royalty, it has it all, there is no want for anything but the rain to stop. Even with the rain we had a full class of students in the morning. Bundled up, braced against the elements but we pulled it off.
WTF
Wind, Direction, Speed, and the external elements that affect it.
Target, Range, Angle, Size, Data, Slope, all these things determine how we want to engage that target.
Fundamentals of Marksmanship, Enough Said, they speak for themselves.
Thermals, Optics, you name they had it, heck even Q was there with their rifles.
Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing thanks for being a part of the everyday sniper podcast.

Welcome to the Everyday Sniper Podcast, I'm Lowlight from Sniper's Hide and I'll be your host for the next 35 minutes or so while I talk without breathing.
This past weekend I had two friends from Alaska down, James and Lonnie to shoot ELR Distances on the range in Fort Morgan. We had an awesome time shooting from 800 to 2450 yards. Lonnie with Ruger RPR in 338 and James with an ASR in 300NM and 33XC.
Had awesome conditions to dope the rifles out. Everyone hit at distance and Lonnie was able to check "Shooting ELR in Colorado with Frank" off his Bucket List.
Conditions were near perfect all weekend. We had a bit of wind the first day, gusting to 18MPH but it was mostly manageable and the second day was near perfect with 4MPH winds.
I want to thank James for accompanying Lonnie down from Alaska and both of them for an awesome weekend of shooting. Great job Guys.

Hey All, another Everyday Sniper Episode coming at you. A little light on topics today but I wanted to knock one out as I have a private class this weekend. In this episode I lay out some Frank Style Philosophy, some of you have heard it before, others, this is a new variation. But it's about mindset, process, about moving forward in your journey.Do you set goals for yourself when you hit the range, or are you just there to blow off some steam?
These are the big questions we have, and in cases I might just imply an answer.
Precision Rifle Expo in Texas Next week Triple C, CCC Shooting Complex in Navasota TX we will be hosting a series of classes there during the Expo. Be sure to stop in and see us. Go hands on

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Road Trip Rant with Roberts
So we have this group text thing going on, and this morning I get a blitz of text messages from Chris Roberts. He is fired up and wanting to talk, and by talk I mean he wants to rant on the podcast about some happenings in the competition world.
See we have different kinds of competitions, you have a PRS Style, an NRL Hunter Style and what people call Sniper Matches. Well everyone wants to be a Sniper until it's time to do Sniper Shit. Cause Sniper Shit is often long and boring and long and boring makes for a shitty match. But you can adjust long and boring into more realistic stages vs a typical PRS Style match.
So Chris has some things he needs to get off his chest and I'm here to agree and promote his ranting because I feel the same way.
I think it's a good conversation, its a bit spicy but you like it that way. Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing and thanks for being a part of the Everyday Sniper Podcast

The Everyday Sniper Podcast Final Knowledge Bomb Edition
Hey Everyday Sniper Fans, finishing up the Knowledge Bomb Editions, I am done with that. I sort of let you down this season with scattered podcasts, but I plan on remedying that problem.Moving forward for the winter we will podcast a bunch and bring you more episodes. We have a renewed sense of urgency if that is a thing, so we want to bring it too you.
So what we have here is a wrap up, a wrap up of the previous season of shooting. I breakdown some of the observations from our year on the road. Lessons learned so to speak. I think you'll enjoy this episode, it has some knowledge bombs in it.
I plan on coming back heavy moving forward. So standby, the Everyday Sniper is coming back.
