The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Safety First!
Safety First Folk!, There is a reason we harp on safety, safety is the one thing that can make an entire community look bad. If a picture tells 1000 words, what does a gunshot say, well ask Alec B, he can tell you what a lapse in safety can do to you.In this episode, you get a nice little Frank rant on safety after the events of the weekend. People want to shoot the messenger to hide a violation rather than address the issue head-on. Once it's public a public response is needed. So enjoy that rant.
Next, we talk Guardian Competition, the week prior we traveled to F7 in Texas. Gary Larson had his Guardian Event which I totally support. At the same time, we also had the Gathering of Snipers.
I enjoyed seeing everyone at the Gathering and Guardian Events.
Quick Review, Zeiss LRP Scope is a winner. I touch on this a bit, I love it. Anyway, I am getting back into the podcast swing of things. I need to get my groove back on, so I am ranting a bit to get my rhythm back.
But thanks for listening, sharing, and commenting.

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Knowledge Bomb Edition: Marco GDI Interview
Welcome back to the Everyday Sniper Podcast, my season is over, I am ready to jump back into the podcasting world with the Knowledge Bomb Edition of the Everyday Sniper.
Up first, Marco from GDI, creator of the PROM, RCOM, and his latest, the PryMid QD scope mounts. GDI and Sniper's Hide goes back a long, long way. For almost 20 years now I have been working with Marco and his GDI Mounts.Today Marco has partnered with Jim from Prime Ammo to offer up the latest, Prymid mount. This smaller, lower, and lighter mount comes from the military system to serve the civilian and hunting community. With a lower 1.25" height above bore, that brings the original PROM L down from its more standard 1.53".
Marco and I deep dive into the history of his mounts. The mindset in the creation and the lengths his mounts have gone to be tested and confirmed.
History, Development, Mindset, Use, and Features, we hit on all the main topics.
Thank you to everyone listening who has stuck by the podcast. Thanks to all the new listeners, and thanks to everyone who comments on the app.

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Iron Bridle South CR2 Class
Hey wanted to drop a podcast before I finish the year out. Had a great class with the CR2 Crew in South Texas. So with everyone together we wanted to knock out a podcast. Chris Roberts and John Carughi AKA the Weapon Snatcher
Last week we went to the the Precision Rifle Expo in Blakely GA. So while I was there I got to sample the new Zeiss LRP scope. In fact, I have one in my possession. Then we spent an extra day with Theis with Hoplite Arms shooting their new rifle out to 2300+ Yards. The rifle is absolutely amazing. However the night before we had an Awesome dinner with the Squirrel Mafia.
Then we took a direct flight to Texas to meet with Chris Rance and Chris Roberts and the CR2 crew at Iron Bridle. But the big surprise came from a Student in the class. If you remember the Seattle riots, the executive security officer who took the M4s from the Antifa rioters is here, Weapon Snatcher, yep that guy. USMC guys from 1/3, he is in the class, so we invited him on the podcast. The topics covered:
CR2 Training Schedule for 2022
Precision Rifle Expo
Zeiss LRP 5-25x
Hoplite Arms
Game Changers
Weapon Snatcher Stuff
Anyway, I appreciate you sticking by the podcast even though the episodes are few and far between right now. However I am seeing the exact end of my tunnel and plan on dropping a new format and new episodes very soon.
Anyway thanks for listening, thanks for sharing and enjoy the good time. We did...

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Chris Roberts CR2 Shooting Solutions, Shot Process Discussion
In this episode of the Everyday Sniper Podcast, Chris Roberts and I talk classes, the Shot Process, and how we go about including the Fundamentals of Marksmanship along with the Shot Process.
The military breaks it down as SACM, which is Stability, Aiming, Control and Movement. These all include the fundamentals but it also puts them in their proper place or context. We can certainly compromise and a lot of do, the question, where do you compromise, why do you compromise and when you do you recognize the compromise as something that might hinder your shooting. We can include the fundamentals along side the process, as everything is a process really. WTF is a shot process, we have Wind, that is wildcard I need to consider that first, then the Target we are shooting, what is the range and the elevation needed to shoot that particular target. Then the fundamentals of marksmanship to put it all together. its a mindset thing and we talk a lot about Mindset too.
Cr2 and I will be teaching together the weekend of November 5th in Texas at Bridle Iron 2021. So if you are interested in attending stop by the CR2 Site or Sniper's Hide for details.
We'll be back, thanks for listening, sharing, and sticking with me while I deal with this stuff.

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Marc and Frank Summer Report
Here is a quick after-action of the summer trip to Iowa and Minnesota. The classes there were excellent and we wanted to thank the shooters and venues for a great block of classes.
It's another rambling trip through our days on the road. We run into a lot of interesting characters when we travel so enjoy our retelling of the stories.
As I stated in the podcast, I had a family emergency just prior to the trip so that is gonna push back my relaunch about 30 to 45 days. I know guys are still wanting to listen full time and I promise, once I relaunch it will go back to twice a week.
For those who know and have reached out, appreciate the support, it helps.
Thanks for sticking around and listening

The Everyday Sniper Podcast:Clint Sharp & Carl Taylor of the RTC
I am in Colville Washington with Clint Sharp and Carl Taylor of the Rifleman's Team Challenge. They host the Sniper's Hide Cup up here each June since 2016.
Long time coming, Carl and Clint talk about the precision rifle competition scene in the Northwestern portion of the United States. The RTC is series of matches that cover the Northwestern area and continues to expand East.
Carl, the owner of In Motion Targets, a Moving Target system used worldwide gives his philosophy on precision rifle competition shooting. The matches hosted by Carl Taylor are some of the most challenging yet practical matches you will find anywhere which is why he hosts the CUP.
It's a fast, fun and educational podcast, worthy of the listen
Thanks to everyone from Competitors to Range Officers for hosting the match, it was a ton of fun. Pictures will be coming to sniper's hide website soon.
