The Everyday Sniper Episode 163 MHSA Class AAR, Valkyrie Stuff, APO Rifle
The Everyday Sniper Episode 163 MHSA Class AAR, Valkyrie Stuff, APO Rifle
In this episode give you a quick after action of the MHSA Precision Rifle class. Again we had the killer winds and the students stepped up in a big way. The instruction is designed to use the high winds to our favor and maximize the learning. And guys have been learning a great deal.
I want to thank everyone who attended and Mike for all the help. Excellent class all around.
Valkyrie, I shot the custom MHSA Valkyrie bolt action rifle and was super happy with the results. Using a Bartlein Left hand gain twist barrel, the rifle is an absolutely hammer> Fritz builds a helluva stick at MHSA.
The SH Edition APO Rifle, we used it during the class. A student needed a rifle and we loaned them the APO. Big success on the concept of a training rifle that will fit the shooter. I was super happy with the results.
Thanks for listening and sharing, don't forget to comment in the Podbean App.

Frank what should I use to true my Kestrel, muzzle velocity or BC? I just watched a new video on PRN. Is one better than the other?

Thanks for the tips on checking gear if you are having issues, specifically scope mounting.

Regarding the Kestrel with 4DOF, will that thing communicate with the TerrapinX? Thanks for all the podcasts!

Thanks for all these podcasts and little tidbits of truth bombs. Excited to finally meet the man behind the mic this weekend in Alaska! Really glad these classes are available in Alaska, and I don’t have to add to my travel expense leaving the state. 👍👍

I’m really looking forward to this weekends class in AK. I’m FNG to long range. I know I have problems w trigger press and getting straight behind my rifle. I have had consistent impacts at distance but I’m reluctant to continue practice for fear of reinforcing bad habits/position. I have some data and have put effort in the ballistic apps but ya, I need help there too. I like these podcasts. Just recently started listening to them on Podbean. Always learning something that pique’s my interest. Thanks for keeping it fun!

Hey Frank and Mike. You Guys should do a 2nd level class just on data and trueing. You can’t true shit if you can’t shoot. That’s what the 1st class is for. Give them try dope. Get em close but focus on the fundamentals. Or add a day up the price and the last day can be trueing. Love what you guys are doing keep it up. I’m planning on taking a class in the near future
