The Everday Sniper Podcast Episode 237 Finding Balance in your Rifle System
So I have a GAP / Manners PRS TCS Rifle chambered in 6GT here and it's pretty amazing to see where a competition rifle has gone. This is a 20LBS 6GT that just hammers and does not move. My first GAP Team Rifle from George came in at 10.7LBS with an S&B 5-25x, this one is 20LBS.
The rifles just sit in the bags and on the tripod and don't move. Part of the accuracy equation in this system is the super light trigger. It takes some getting used to, but you can have proper trigger control with an evil light trigger, but you have to be vigilant.
My question is, how do we balance a field or tactical rifle to take advantage of the innovations in a PRS rifle? What is the right trigger weight to rifle weight equation?
It's something that hit me after shooting the rifles.
Thanks for listening, Thanks for sharing, and don't forget to comment.

Hey Frank, speaking of gun weight and bullet speed, have you seen the new Sig Cross? At 6.5lbs with a 16" barrel and their 277 fury they are saying it will push 3000 fps with a 140 or 135. They are marketing towards hunting, but it will be interesting in the summer when they release their competition conversion kit. Thanks for the great info as always!

Are the A-tips worth the money? A lot of interest when they came out but never heard anything else about them after they came out.
