The Everyday Sniper Podcast Episode 263 Bizzaro World Respect for the Departed
We are truly living in Bizarre times so I am calling this Bizarro Episode, but more to the point it's out of Respect for Frank DeSomma and Robert Gradous
Two icons in our industry passed away recently and I wanted to bring attention to it. These are two awesome individuals who have dedicated their lives to the Gun Community. So with that in mind I throw a couple of flashbacks about them in the podcast. So sorry to have this happen.
Finally there is funny moments in the episode, some pushing for answers, questions asked, etc.
Help me, I want to solve more problems, let me know what they are...
Cheers,
Thanks for listening, commenting and being a part of the podcast.

Frank... if you’re shooting a team match, short gun, long gun dynamic situation in a field match, how would you recommend communicating wind calls from the carbine to the long gun given tight par times on a stage? Maybe a team safari type match? Interested in your thoughts! Thanks for all the awesome information you provide one the PC! Longtime listener!!

Finished your book, good read. On weaponized math, bought a new R700 308 and found the weaponized math around the same time. DOPED it out too 800 yards with that, it was in the winter and I didn't want to deal with electronics, worked well. I don't like dealing with electronics anymore, I don't know why, just a hassle.

Then adjust the data for your gun at known distances. Then after range time if you want to compare your real life data to all the expensive toy solutions, knock your self out. That part is for the geek in me. But for the shooter in me that I want to become I need to keep it simple while on the line. The only secondary tool I rely on is my kestrel w/AB adjusted to my data using the math. I would like to have a day 3 to the class shot on paper at distance to verify data and skill.

Welcome back to Alaska, even if it's only one week. Sorry about the rain. Always good to hear you rant. I think in today's world most think geek solutions thru sophisticated devices and software and very expensive rifle system is all we need to be great marksman. Then we get to your class and realize it's really all about fundamentals. Put all that fancy toys away and learn how to shoot with acuracy and precision first. I have felt the simple math is the best and fastest way to get on target.
