The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Straight Jacket Armory with Bartlein Barrels, Supply & Demand
May you live in interesting times!
The firearm industry is on fire right now, demand has never been greater and we living through the perfect storm of violence in the streets, politics, and the pandemic. All this has combined to put a huge crush on the industry.
I have Nick from Straight Jacket Armory and Frank Green on the phone to talk about the supply chain in terms of barrels and components. With demand being where it stands, the barrel industry is a good weather gauge to measure the temperature of the water. Temps are high, and supply is low.
It's important to put these things into perspective and getting the perspective from Frank and Nick should be illuminating.
Thanks to both guys for breaking it down and thanks to all the listeners.

Great podcast. A subject that needs discussing. I feel it has become like the suppressor market. Just plan that it is going to take 1 year before you have product in hand. If you want a custom build rifle for the 2021 season you may be to late. And if you're not stashing component for reloading now your practice time my be limited . Whoever wins or looses the elections in November we 2nd ammendment supporters will get screwed either way. Rick

Okay first off, great podcast! Great discussion. Now, for everybody that ever dogged my butt about being a brass hound, BITE ME! All that brass is now being used by buddies who were the guys who you were talking about. Friends who never figured they needed an gun not just a pistol or AR they’re buying guns and asking me about ammo. I’m having them buy components and powder and we roll them up. I’ve always told the local PDs that shoot on our range leave it lay I’ll police it up for ya! 😉
