The Everyday Sniper Podcast Episode 263 Bizarro World Respect for the Departed
The Everyday Sniper Podcast Episode 263 Bizzaro World Respect for the Departed
We are truly living in Bizarre times so I am calling this Bizarro Episode, but more to the point it's out of Respect for Frank DeSomma and Robert Gradous
Two icons in our industry passed away recently and I wanted to bring attention to it. These are two awesome individuals who have dedicated their lives to the Gun Community. So with that in mind I throw a couple of flashbacks about them in the podcast. So sorry to have this happen.
Finally there is funny moments in the episode, some pushing for answers, questions asked, etc.
Help me, I want to solve more problems, let me know what they are...
Cheers,
Thanks for listening, commenting and being a part of the podcast.

I've finally caught up! I have been listening to the podcast the last couple months at work. I started with the first episodes and wkrkingnmy way up to the recent ones. Just listening here I've probably learned more than I have in the 3 Facebook groups I'm a part of. Honestly I dont know what I dont know at this point and I dont know what's missing. Other than trigger time and a class or 3.

Hey frank, I have an issue I'm trying to train out but advice never hurts. I am new to competition and positional shooting, when I get into odd positions my wobble zone if huge and I end up either forfeiting a shot or taking a shot I'm not confident in. Aside from repetition and dry fire, how I can I train myself to be more stable and confident in my shots? I appreciate the podcast and look forward to many more. Austin.

Workbook is a great idea for the weaponized math.

Definitely do an Audible copy of the book! That would be great.

Frank, great stuff as usual! When I was newer to this, I pulled out my phone with BallisticsARC and weather meter before every damn stage at my first match, haha. Thanks to listening to this, and Caylen and Phil, I know that small changes through the course of a day won’t affect trajectory as much as newer shooters think. I’d recently got the GAP scope bundle w/ the Kestrel, so now I don’t need the phone! I’m also all about the hard data, so how can I streamline from here?

I'd love to hear more about learning from my misses. Also how to better see misses with dust clouds in the wind, impacts on weeds, etc.

Also, if you do the audio book, I’m in. That would be a tremendous resource with your commentary added. (Apologies, alaskaatv- didn’t mean to tag your post to reply)

Frank... if you’re shooting a team match, short gun, long gun dynamic situation in a field match, how would you recommend communicating wind calls from the carbine to the long gun given tight par times on a stage? Maybe a team safari type match? Interested in your thoughts! Thanks for all the awesome information you provide one the PC! Longtime listener!!

Finished your book, good read. On weaponized math, bought a new R700 308 and found the weaponized math around the same time. DOPED it out too 800 yards with that, it was in the winter and I didn't want to deal with electronics, worked well. I don't like dealing with electronics anymore, I don't know why, just a hassle.
