The Everyday Sniper Episode 192 Post Class Wind talk, Chassis, Podbean Q&A
Just finished the August MHSA Precision Rifle class here in Colorado. We had a crazy 25 to 45MPH wind hit us on Saturday. So we had a great opportunity to shoot in a 30MPH headwind with Mike's 6CM. Listen to the episode if you want to know what we saw.
We do our normal Q&A with the Podbean questions we had some very good ones this time around. Questions like,
How do DQ A shooter in a Match
What is Quartering a Target
LH Gain Twist Questions
User Feedback
It's always fun interacting with the listeners so be sure to post your question if you want it read during an episode.
Finally, I put the call out for some questions regarding stocks. We recently lost JAE as a builder, and people want to know what stocks and chassis are out there and how they can help.

The Everyday Sniper Episode 191 Fundamental Breakdown, Elements vs FoM
I was looking over some old military marksmanship manuals, not so much for the mistakes, but to see where things evolved from the Elements of a good shooting position to the fundamentals of marksmanship. And in thinking about the different techniques we use for shooting the various disciplines we engage in, how the fundamentals and the elements of a good position apply. We can free recoil a rifle and still engage in the fundamentals of marksmanship. We can also buy a hit by using the weapon system to balance our position and mask some of the errors induced by our poor fundamentals. As an example, a heavy class benchrest shooter can do a lot to eliminate as much as the shooter as possible. Others attempt to do the same thing in the field. Get a system or supporting device that masks the shooters or minimizes their influence on the shot. It's a practical exercise to look at each of these fundamentals and what we can do to minimize their influence using the gear.
It really comes down to education, knowing what fundamental controls what and how the rifle system marries to that fundamental. I talk Accuracy and Precision, we all know the rifle system can have a bearing on both. As will the shooter and his or her fundamentals when it comes to executing the firing task.
Hopefully, this episode of the Everyday Sniper makes you think about all there elements.

The Everyday Sniper Episode 190 Rex Defense Post Class Debrief
Welcome to politically correct Frank, I am host, Fundamental Frank who is gonna depart from my normal ranting style to something more mellow. As several have heard, this past weekend I attended a Rex Defense Seminar in Denver. I saw it while prepping for the Gathering, and decided, why not, attend the seminar. So I did and wanted to post my thoughts but presented as constructive criticism. No harm, no foul right, all in the right mindset. So if you are curious as to my take on a rex defense seminar, here you are, my thoughts. Not too hard, not too soft, hopefully just right to get the concept across through the radio.
Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, if you are interested, there is more discussion on the topic at Sniper's Hide in the forums. Don't forget to comment in the comment section.

The Everyday Sniper Episode 189 Gathering Talk, Plus Optics, Barrels and Training
After having my computer die a second time, I had to upgrade my equipment so that put me behind the Eight Ball for a few days. Wanted to talk about the Gathering and some high points from the event. A couple in no particular order"
The Attendance
The Range Day
The Dinner
The Sponsors
The New Products
I talk so optics, holding over with the reticle and distortions that might be involved and whether we can resolve those issues on target. Is it a big enough problem to address?
John Baker and TacommHQ have a great new barrel system and his work in this space I feel is showing a lot of promise. Disturbing the Harmonic resonance of the barrel during firing may yield a bunch of benefits that were overlooked for so many years.Again, thanks to the big-name sponsors for the Gathering, I know there was more, but I only have a partial list in front of me. So thanks to Leupold, Vortex, Applied Ballistics, MHSA, and all the others who donated or attended the Gathering Event in Denver.

The Everyday Sniper Episode 188 My thoughts after Recent Events
Without getting too political I want to discuss the gun control debate happening on the heels of the El Paso and Dayton Shootings. This topic affects us directly and some thing needs to be addressed without getting too political. The gun community immediately gets blamed for the attacks by individuals who have nothing to do with us. We are the scapegoats for the political class, especially in this election season. So with that said, I want to talk about the narrative, the story line, how we can elevate the conversation that might put those elements fighting against us back on defense.
Nobody wants to see these tragedies happen, especially with a firearm, so the conversation has to continue.

The Everyday Sniper Episode 187 Useless Ramblings from the Clinically Insane
I have no idea what I am even talking about in this episode, it's a blur. Mentioning a few lessons learned from our most recent competitions. I really enjoyed the way the class flowed this past weekend with Mike and the students from our July MHSA Precision Rifle Class. We are always adjusting and modifying the course to fit the students' needs and experience level. I think we nailed this one.I posted Marc Taylor's Weaponized Math, the X factor. You can find it on the main page of Sniper's Hide or in the forum under the Everyday Sniper Section. It's really easy, and it will get you one target with very little effort on your part. Speaking of training, I breakdown the Tennessee Class we are announcing for mid fall at Treadproof. If you are interested in attending any of our classes, check the Sniper's Hide Website for details.
Finally, thanks for listening, sharing and commenting in the Podbean App. We really appreciate it and we want to grow our community so invite a friend to subscribe to our podcast

The Everyday Sniper Episode 186 Snakes in the MFing Connex
Mike and Frank are on the range this weekend teaching an MHSA Precision Rifle Class to a great bunch of shooters. We talk about our guest instructor, Ratty mick Rattlesnake that had Mike jumping out of his seat. We breakdown some of the pros and cons we see with new shooters in the class. Generally, we just wanted to bust out a podcast during lunch to make sure you all had something to listen too.
If you look at the episode cover you can see exactly where the snake stopped under Mike's Chair in the classroom. it was a comedic episode and worth the time to listen.
Don't forget to comments, post and share the Everday Sniper Podcast, hopefully, you have as much fun listening as we do talking about this stuff.

The Everyday Sniper Episode 183 Alaska Precision Rifle Class After Action PR 1 & 2
We just finished up a back to back PR 1 and 2 classes. So as we normally do, Marc and I invited two students to sit in on the podcast. So thanks to Luis V and Jonathan W for being a part of this episode giving you, the listeners their feedback. We like the fact we can students, especially students from either the Lower Forty Eight or in the case of Luis, Canada talk to you about their experience. It reinforces the stuff Marc and I talk about so you can get their perspective on the experience.
Our goal is to translate the live experience to the listening audience. It really is a ton of fun working these classes. I want to thank the guys up here, especially James for presenting me with a custom plaque to highlight my experience up here. Means a lot so thank you James and Company.
Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing and thanks for being a part of the success of the Everyday Sniper Podcast. Don't forget to comment.
